1991-1995 MR2 Turbo Drop In Garrett GT28 Turbo Upgrade by NixSpeed
Not just another ported or modified CT26/20b, introducing the CTX28 turbo! This 350+whp capable custom turbo housing is made to bolt up to the stock 2nd or 3rd gen MR2 manifold as well as the stock downpipe. This turbo upgrade includes the oil feed and drain AND the coolant connections with an option OEM gasket kit available. It houses your choice of available Garrett setups:
Garrett GT Series:
• GT2860RS
Garrett GTX Gen 1 Series:
• GT2860R Gen 1
• GT2863R Gen 1
• GT2867R Gen 1
Garrett GTX Gen 2 Series:
• GT2860R Gen 2
• GT2867R Gen 2
*Note that due to dyno testing, the 2871 trims are not recommended in any series.
Because this custom housing is made to bolt to the stock manifold and downpipe, this means you can use your aftermarket downpipe and intercoolers setup, as long as they are made to work with the stock CT2x turbo (CT26/CT20b/CT21/CT27/etc.). No custom intercooler piping or custom downpipes needed! Note that you will need an intake of 3” as opposed to the stock 2.75” piping.
Don’t forget to specify your wastegate spring as well.
