2007-2021 Tundra 5.7L Radium Dual Catch Can Kit, Fluid Lock
Details
2007-2021 Toyota Tundra 5.7L, Dual Oil Catch Can Kit, OCC, Radium Engineering
This installation kit was specifically designed for the 07-21 Toyota Tundra with the 3UR-FE engine. There is no drilling or permanent modifications required. IF USING A TRD OR OTHER AFTERMARKET SUPERCHARGER, please check the pictures carefully to make sure the location of the catch cans is not occupied by intercooler plumbing or other related supercharger components.
An oil catch can is essential on a performance vehicle to protect the engine from elevated levels of crankcase blow-by accumulated from everyday driving. Excess oil saturated air circulating back into the air intake stream can lead to degraded performance. Radium Engineering catch cans feature large 10AN ORB ports, a 4AN ORB drain port, 2-step oil separation baffling, and an O-ring sealed dipstick.
Features:
-Effectively raises the octane and increased engine performance from cleaner inlet air
-Prevents oil buildup in the intake or intercooler system walls, throttle body, intake manifold, etc.
-Excessive oil collection can be an indicator of a damaged engine.
-Lowers hydrocarbon emissions
-Capacity: 7 fluid ounces
-Height (without fittings): 5 inches
-Outside Diameter: 2.45 inches
TUNDRA CATCH CAN KIT OPTIONS
Radium Engineering offers two independent Tundra oil catch can kits that are sold individually or together. They do NOT vent to atmosphere (VTA), thus are emissions and track legal. Closed loop systems route clean filtered air back in through the engine to be burned and to promote negative crankcase pressure for optimal performance. Furthermore, closed systems prevent unwanted oil vapors from entering into the cabin.
The 20-0238-FL PCV Catch Can Kit, Fluid Lock runs inline with the PCV (positive crankcase ventilation) valve. When the intake manifold pressure is close to or greater than atmospheric pressure, the PCV "check" valve closes and, thus, this hose experiences no flow. Conversely, the PCV hose will experience "metered" vacuum when the engine is idling, low load cruising, and decelerating. This would normally draw unwanted crankcase vapor, unspent fuel, and oil sludge into the intake manifold immediately after a high load run. Note: Because the Radium catch cans are pressure sealed, they are great for boosted applications as well so connecting to the intake manifold is permitted.
PCV Kit Includes:
-Billet oil catch can with integrated condenser and dipstick
-Tundra-specific laser cut anodized mounting bracket
-Anodized aluminum 6AN and 8AN hose ends
-Anodized 6AN and 8AN adapter fittings
-Stainless steel mounting hardware
-PCV rubber hose
The 20-0239-FL CCV Catch Can Kit, Fluid Lock comes with 2 mounting brackets. One bracket will be disregarded depending if the PCV kit will also be used. The crankcase vent runs inline with the 1/2" valve cover breather port. At low loads it experiences atmospheric pressure, but when the engine is at high load (WOT), this hose will experience vacuum and would normally be drawing unwanted crankcase vapors, unspent fuel, and oil sludge into the air filter intake pipe. If the engine is turbocharged or supercharged and you are finding oil accumulation stuck in the intercooler, this catch can is a necessity as oil will lower the thermal efficiency properties of the heat exchange process.
CCV Kit Includes:
-Billet oil catch can with integrated condenser and dipstick
-Tundra-specific laser cut anodized aluminum mounting bracket
-Laser cut anodized aluminum mounting bracket
-Anodized aluminum 8AN hose ends and adapter fittings
-Enough 1/2" PCV rubber hose to mate to custom applications
-Stainless steel mounting hardware
For the ultimate in engine protection, Radium recommends the Tundra 20-0240-FL Dual Catch Can Kit, Fluid Lock
The dual catch can kit utilizes both the "Crankcase" catch can and "PCV" catch can.
*Requires different mounting location with our turbo system installed.
