Tuning your Turbo Tundra:
The base ECU calibration is included with the purchase of your turbo kit. You have a two options to get the mapping flashed to your ECU:
- Purchase the HP Tuners System to use for uploading the base map and use for any additional tuning you may want to do. The system and cable is yours to keep.
- Rent the tune upload cable from TurboKits.com. By paying the deposit amount, we’ll ship the cable to you so you can use the software to upload the tune. Once your tune is loaded onto your truck’s ECU, ship the cable back to us and receive your deposit back. (4) HP tuning credits at $50ea will be deducted from the deposit refund amount.

Review: I had been tracking Turbokits.com on a Tundra forum throughout the development of this kit. Stars aligned (time availability, location, and of course, pricing) for me to become their first DIY customer for the kit.
Requirements were simple and all focused on towing performance and reliability: Don't destroy my 50k mile, 5 yr old Tundra. Don't impact my camping schedule. Don't leave me or my family stranded because of the kit.
I did the entire install myself, zero help, in my 24' x 24' two car garage with my own tools. No lift. The amount of modification to the vehicle was all superficial and limited to 3 holes (widening 2 on the inner fender, creating 1 on the oil pan). That's it. Everything else is bolt on (or stick/wrap on for heat protection).
Jesse has been absolutely amazing throughout the entire process, and aside from the truck making all the right sounds, this truck tows my 8k lbs travel trailer with ease! I have gained an entire gear while towing and easily reduced torque converter unlocks or downshifts by over 50%. I'm blown away (pun intended) by how much just 4'ish PSI has completely changed this vehicle. This is my first forced induction experience, and it is everything I could ask for. Strongly encourage all of the extras available for the kit. Combined, they deliver all the flexibility and redundancy/safety one could ask for - example: I'm using the electronic boost controller to hold 4'ish PSI, but I can rapidly switch cut over to the 1.5PSI physical spring installed in the wastegate so I can complete a towing trip if I ever run out of water methanol, all from the drivers seat and while in motion. I never realized I could have that much control.
I believe Jesse has included some photos and videos of my truck on the site. It is the 2019 Silver Tundra. He's the man and can talk through all of the details of my project. The only way he could have been more involved is if he was in my garage handing me tools.
