The all billet, welded coolant expansion tank for the '17- Up Civic Type R (FK8 & FL5) and the Acura Integra Type S (DE5) is finally finished and available for shipping now.
*Each unit is pressure tested to assure a 100% leak-free install!
MDR's direct replacement upgrade billet expansion is CNC machined out of 6061-T6 aluminum alloy, TIG welded, and anodized. This was created to address the issue of leaks at the seams from the factory plastic expansion tank cracking due to continuous heat and pressure cycling. This billet expansion tank is a direct factory replacement. Size and shape are identical to the factory plastic unit while utilizing all factory mounting locations and hoses.
This is the only all billet and welded expansion tank currently available in the market. Other billet expansion tanks on the market are a 2 piece (top and bottom) screwed together with a gasket in the middle, the gasket will absorb the coolant and leak overtime.
