FR Ford F150 Ecoboost 3.5L Inconel Turbo Manifold Stud Kit
Details
Inconel Exhaust Manifold Hardware Kit for Ford F150 Ecoboost 3.5L Turbo by Full Race
Full-Race knows Ecoboost performance. The first step to ensuring that your truck makes all of the boost it's supposed to is to avoid the common exhaust leaks on the 3.5L manifolds.
Over time the OEM manifolds and hardware suffer from corrosion. In addition to this, the high heat these manifolds are exposed to from the exhaust gasses cause the OEM hardware to weaken and loosen, leading to costly repairs. With the introduction of our Formline Cast Stainless Manifolds, we solved many of these issues, but we wanted to solve them all. As an added bonus all new Formline Manifolds and turbo kits will include these studs.
Constructed of A286 Inconel Alloy originally developed for jet engines, these non-magnetic, high nickel studs offer superior temperature and corrosion resistance. Each kit includes 16 studs and nuts to ensure your Ecoboost 3.5L manifolds are free from leaks.
WHAT IS INCONEL?
Inconel is an alloy of Nickel and Chromium known for it's extreme temperature and corrosion resistance. These Inconel studs are made from A286 Inconel, an alloy originally designed for jet engine applications.
Ferritic steel is magnetic because it has a lot of iron and a specific atomic structure. It's good for everyday uses but can't handle very high temperatures.
On the other hand, austenitic stainless steel, used in things like car turbochargers and aircraft parts, doesn't have the magnetic properties of ferritic steel. It can handle much higher temperatures and resists corrosion well because it contains nickel.
