Radium Engineering has designed two independent Catch can kits for the Mitsubishi Evo 8 & 9 that are not only easy on the eyes, but are NOT vent to atmosphere, which makes them emissions and track legal. Using a catch can is essential on a performance car that is constantly pushed to the limits to protect the engine from higher crank case blow-by levels.
Utilizing a closed loop system, the catch can kits routes filtered air back into the engine to burn and promote negative crankcase pressure for the most performance. Another advantage to using a closed loop system is that it will leave your car cabin free from any oil vapors. Unlike the masses of catch cans sold on the market, This specific catch can has an integrated oil separator that will accelerate oil condensation, cleaning the PCV gasses and reducing the amount of oil build-up inside of the intake tract, manifold and the intercooler.
