advantex is a highly advanced muffler packing material that greatly excels over other packing material types such as loose packed fiberglass matsand composite cube types.

Minimizing bends is a goal of each custom-built Tanabe exhaust system. the truest form is realized to minimize restrictions and maximize useable powergains. When necessary, the piping is mandrel bent for improved exhaust flow characteristics.
Weight Reduction - 1.2mm Thinwall Piping
Specially engineered for use on the exhaust system, a piping wall diameter of 1.2mm was developed which allows weight to be significantly reduced while remaining durable for extended usage. teh SUS304 piping also plays a role in sound output as it reducesresonation, and helps the exhaust produce the trademark low, deep tone.

Because of the new Advantax packing material the canister sizecan be much slimmer, weigh less, and reduce sound better than other systems that require large, bulky canisters or multiple sub-mufflers. Medallion Touring's slim canister is pleaseing to the eye and is designed to allow for high ground clearance on lowered vehicles.
